A vote on referring several alleged scandals, involving Ahmad Sadoun and Muhammad Saqr, to the Diwan al-Muhasaba. The vote was held on 28 May 2007. The accusations were made in part in response to the discussion in parliament of earlier scandals involving Ali Khalifa al-Sabah.

Voted against referral = رفض الإحالة

Voted for referral = أيد الإحالة

Abstained = ممتنع

Not present = غير موجود

The vote on referring the scandals to the Diwan gives an indication of how the parliament split on the issue of these scandals, with the nationalist and popular blocs on one side, and the Independent and most of the Islamist bloc on the other.

The government abstained. The vote was:

20 for referral

24 aganst referral

12 abstentions

In the end the scandals were referred to a special parliamentary committee made up of representatives of all blocs.
